Neuromotor Intensives
A More Integrated Approach

A More Integrated Approach

You can’t compartmentalize the body.

The brain, nervous system, movement patterns, gut, immune system, nutrition, inflammation, and overall physiology are all connected. That’s why we don’t look at neurological or developmental concerns through a single lens.

At Integrate, we blend functional neuroscience, neuromotor rehabilitation, and functional medicine to better understand the whole picture and how each system may be influencing the others.

Our providers are committed to continued education and advanced training so we can bring these pieces together and create a more individualized, comprehensive approach to care.

Because the body doesn’t function in separate boxes — and care shouldn’t either.

Building stronger foundations for the brain + body.

Movement is about so much more than strength and coordination. The way the brain receives, processes, and responds to information from the body plays an important role in balance, attention, learning, behavior, coordination, and overall development.

Our Neuromotor Intensives provide concentrated, individualized care designed to identify areas of neurological and motor function that may not be developing or communicating as efficiently as they should.

Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we look at the foundational systems supporting development — and build from there.

What may we work on?

Depending on the individual, an intensive may incorporate activities designed to support:

  • Primitive reflex integration

  • Balance + postural stability

  • Coordination and motor planning

  • Eye tracking + visual-motor function

  • Timing and rhythm

  • Proprioception + body awareness

  • Vestibular function

  • Bilateral coordination

  • Fine + gross motor patterns

  • Brain-body communication

  • Oral motor coordination

  • Speech + language development

  • Communication skills

  • Auditory processing

  • Feeding-related oral motor skills

When appropriate, care may also be coordinated with speech-language pathology to support speech, language, communication, feeding, and oral motor development as part of a more comprehensive approach.

Every intensive is individualized based on the patient’s neurological and motor assessment, goals, and areas of need.

Why an intensive?

Neuroplasticity — the brain’s ability to adapt and create new patterns — is driven by specific, repeated input.

Instead of spreading care across occasional appointments, an intensive allows us to provide targeted neurological and motor stimulation repeatedly over a shorter period of time.

Think of it as giving the brain more opportunities to practice the patterns we’re trying to strengthen.

Who are Neuro Motor Intensives for?

Neuro Motor Intensives may be appropriate for children and adolescents experiencing challenges related to:

  • ADHD + attention difficulties

  • Auditory processing challenges

  • Autism spectrum disorders

  • Clumsiness or frequent falls

  • Concussion recovery

  • Developmental delays

  • Difficulty copying from the board or keeping their place while reading

  • Dyscalculia

  • Dysgraphia

  • Dyslexia

  • Emotional + nervous system regulation

  • Eye teaming + convergence challenges

  • Fine + gross motor delays

  • Hand-eye coordination difficulties

  • “Lazy eye” / amblyopia-related visual-motor challenges

  • Learning + educational delays

  • Low muscle tone

  • Motor planning difficulties

  • Neurological rehabilitation

  • PANS/PANDAS-related neurological changes

  • Poor coordination or balance

  • Poor posture + core stability

  • Reading difficulties

  • Retained primitive reflexes

  • Sensory processing challenges

  • Speech + language delays

  • Sports performance + reaction time

  • Trouble with handwriting

  • Visual tracking difficulties

  • **Children who seem to be working significantly harder than their peers to learn, move, focus, or regulate

Sometimes a child has a diagnosis. Sometimes parents simply know something isn’t clicking the way it should.

We look beyond the label to evaluate how the brain, eyes, vestibular system, sensory system, and body are working together — then identify areas where targeted neurological and motor input may help strengthen those connections.

It’s not one-size-fits-all.

Two children with the same diagnosis can have completely different neurological patterns.

That’s why we assess the individual in front of us, identify the areas that need support, and build a program specifically around those findings.

Our goal is simple: create stronger neurological foundations so the brain and body can work together more efficiently.
